Anar’s Upcoming U.S. Tour and a New Way to Donate

Breaking the Cycle U.S. Tour

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Anar Executive Director Rami Khader to the U.S. this June for a speaking tour called “Breaking the Cycle: Justice and Healing for Palestinian Children and Caregivers.” Rami and his family will make four main stops: Atlanta (June 13-16), Chicago (June 17-18), Minneapolis (June 20-22), and the Bay Area/Sacramento/Chico (June 24-29). In each city and working with local partners, Healing to Hope will host speaking engagements, community gatherings, arts and music events, and fundraising opportunities to raise awareness about Anar’s vital work in Palestine and to offer ways attendees can get involved locally.

Our New Fiscal Sponsor

Healing to Hope can now receive donations that are immediately tax-deductible through our new fiscal sponsor, Creative Visions. These donations will allow us to continue directly supporting and raising awareness about Anar’s vital community-based, arts-focused psychosocial healing work with Palestinian children and caregivers. Now, those who wish to give through qualified charitable distributions or donor-advised funds have a clear pathway.

We are thrilled to be a project of Creative Visions, an extraordinary non-profit organization that “empowers creative activists worldwide to raise awareness of critical issues and drive positive change through impact storytelling - one of the most powerful tools we have for creating a more just, caring and sustainable world.”

Healing to Hope is still working towards IRS approval of our own 501(c)(3) status this coming year. Once our IRS application is accepted, all donations made directly to Healing to Hope will also become retroactively tax deductible. Anar’s Ongoing Work

Anar continues to provide safe and supportive environments for Palestinian children who’ve faced even the most extreme human rights abuses. Anar’s new project in collaboration with Save the Children focuses on mental health and psychosocial support for children who have experienced political violence, arrests, and detention in Israeli prisons.

This new program in Hebron, Nablus, and Tulkarem will focus on the healing and reintegration of these children through in-depth individual and group counseling sessions. It will also give children the academic support and vocational guidance they need to create meaningful futures. In addition, the program offers caregivers the resources and guidance to care for children who have experienced extreme violence, and it raises awareness and strengthens the resilience of local communities.
