Breaking the Cycle U.S. Tour with Rami Khader

As we witness the horror, heartbreak, and incomprehensible cruelty of genocide, we hold the children and families of Gaza and the West Bank in our hearts. In the midst of these atrocities, it more important than ever to hear directly from Palestinian leaders working tirelessly to support their communities and forge a path towards justice.

In this vein, Healing to Hope is honored to welcome Anar Executive Director Rami Khader to the U.S. for a speaking tour starting next week. “Breaking the Cycle: Justice and Healing for Palestinian Children and Caregivers” will take place June 13-29 in Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis, and California. I had the privilege of first meeting Rami in Palestine over seven years ago now. His commitment to arts-based, community-centered practice as a tool for collective healing from generational trauma was clear even then. Several years later, in collaboration with an extraordinary group of counselors and staff, Rami has grown that commitment into Anar’s vision for hope and healing with children, caregivers, and communities throughout the West Bank.

I have often heard Rami speak of the “quiet, persistent resilience” of Palestinian communities struggling together and healing collectively. He speaks too of hope as a “practical force” forged in solidarity—hope that takes action. We invite you now to take action—to join our movement to support Palestinian-led, community-based, arts-focused healing for children and caregivers in the West Bank.
